Present simple and present continuous

 Hello guys!

Last week we were practising present simple and continuous, but what is the difference between them?

PRESENT SIMPLE is used when we talk about HABITS, ROUTINES and REAL FACTS, and PRESENT CONTINUOUS is used to talk about things that are happening at the moment of speaking.

For example:

I read a book every afternoon.  (That is something you regularly do)

I am reading a book now. (That is something you are doing at this moment).

Do you understand it?

Let's see another example:

Maria sings very well. (It is true Maria knows how to sing and she does it in a good way).

Maria is singing a song right now. (It is happening now, she is NOW singing).

Are you able to do the following exercise?

PRESENT SIMPLE OR CONTINUOS EXERCISE

Come on! :)

Photosynthesis

 Hello kids!

These weeks we are learning lots of facts about photosynthesis and respiration. You can watch the videos below:

Photosynthesis is a really important process we all need to survive. Without it we don't have the oxygen we need to breathe.

Plants are really important because they also help reduce global warming by trapping the carbon dioxide in the air.

Have a look at the picture below:

Thanks for reading!

About plants :)

Hello kids,

As you know, during this term we will be learning about living things.

We have started with types of plants.

REMEMBER! There are two types of trees:

DECIDUOUS TREES: They lose their leaves in Autumn.

EVERGREEN TREES: They have leaves throughout the year.

You can also see the presentation we have already seen in class below:

Have a nice day!
