Wednesday...English day!

Hi guys,

Do you remember we were studying "present simple" rules?

Remember! We use simple present when an action happens regularly (for example: routines and habits). We also use it when we talk about TRUE FACTS, like for example: "Plants need water to live."

How do we form it? It´s easy:

SUBJECT + VERB + COMPLEMENTS   "I study English every day."

But...be careful! We add "s" to the verb if the subject is HE, SHE or IT.  "My dog likes pizza."

And in the negative form? We add DON´T or DOESN´T.  "I don´t play tennis on Monday." "My sister doesn´t go to the gym."

We also use some time expressions with the present simple such as: every day, never, always, sometimes...

Let´s practise with the following exercises:

ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY

HANGMAN GAME ABOUT ADVERBS

And... to finish practising present simple we have a song. It is a Bruno's Mars song, do you like it?

Click on the word below to see the lyrics and do the exercise. Then, play the video.

Choose the right word and circle it.

Finally, you can prepare the questions for the assembly we will do tomorrow. You can write the answers on a piece of paper to pratice. Then, choose ONE picture and write sentences about it.

Have a nice day!
